HIRA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

A ZAIN AHMED BAIG FOUNDATION

WHAT IS WAQAR?

The Waqar project bridges the gap between dedicated students and their aspirations by providing financial support.

Donors can choose to sponsor students in one of two significant journeys:

  • Tahfeedh: A commendable endeavor, where students immerse themselves in memorizing the Holy Quran. This journey, typically spanning 3-4 years, varies depending on the student’s ability and dedication.

  • Alimiyyah Program: A comprehensive Masters in Islamic Studies program, it aims to nurture scholars well-acquainted with Islamic teachings, jurisprudence, and theology.

WHY WAQAR?
Everlasting Reward!

The Prophet (SAW) said: whosoever recites one letter of the Quran gets one good deed, and every good deed is multiplied by ten times. (Tirmidhi)

  • Only full-time Alimiyyah and Tahfeedh programs in Kentucky

  • We have over 100 full-time and part-time Quran Students. and 13 full-time and part-time Alimiyyah students.

  • HIRA has graduated 4 Huffadh so far, and ten students have memorized more than 1/3 of the Quran

  • A student memorizing the Quran recites approximately 100 pages or 5 Juz of the Quran daily. It equals over one Quran weekly and 4-5 Qurans every month.

Become part of this eternal legacy by sponsoring a student on behalf of yourself and a deceased loved one.

Our responsibility is to provide all students with equal opportunity to pursue the path of علم (knowledge) without financial constraint.

Become part of the prophetic legacy

DOUBLE THE REWARD FOR YOUR ZAKAH

HIRA accepts Zakah on behalf of eligible students to ensure they get quality Islamic education.

To ensure eligibility, we have a thorough process and in-person interview each year before the Zakah funds are used for tuition. In addition, we require all of our financial aid students to maintain excellence in their academics to ensure the most efficient use of your funds.
